Cinco de Mayo is Bloody Maria Margarita Time

CINCO DE MAYO...ALREADY?

Maybe you were caught unprepared. Maybe you just need a last-minute idea to serve up for all those people who invited themselves over tonight. Either way, you're safe. This is a super easy way to defy expectations and serve something truly spectacular–the Bloody Maria Margarita.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. Bloody Maria Mix
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 4 oz. white tequila
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • ice

The Bloody Maria mix gives the kick this margarita calls for, but you may want to add some kosher salt or black pepper to taste.

Instructions:

In a cocktail shaker or large bowl combine all of the ingredients except for the ice and the garnishes. In a blender, crush ice until the ice cubes become small particles. Pour the liquid mixture into the crushed ice. Pulse the blender 2-3 times so the mixture combines with the ice.

Rub lime juice along the edge of your glasses and dip into the extra kosher salt. Pour the drink into the glasses, careful not to ruin the salted rim. Garnish with lime slices and jalapeño rings. (adapted from www.honeyandbirch.com)
